The Hong Kong Flower Show organized by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department was open for ten days beginning March 5, 2004 at Victoria Park, Hong Kong. Themed "Pansy Fantasia," the show attracted 180 different organizations and units to participate in its wide variety of exhibitions and activities. The show featured competition exhibits, floral art and landscape display, other landscape display and a happy wonderland. It was estimated that local citizens and tourists going to the show might top half a million multitude.

The World Flower Council Hong Kong Chapter was privileged to have enlisted an international floral design guru, Mr. Richard Go, a multi-award winning botanical architect and floral consultant amongst the forerunners of the Australia floral industry. Mr. Go was joined by Mr. Poo Chesdmethee, President of the Thailand Chapter, Membership Director and a popular "star" designer in Bangkok to provide demonstrations and instructions at the Show. Their presentation, labeled "Floral Frenzy" highlighted a floral fusion between the East and West. They were both inspiring and glamorous of superb quality and earning the cordial applause and admiration of a huge audience comprising, not just laymen but numerous professionals and enthusiasts. To both masters in the art, the World Flower Council Hong Kong Chapter heartily extends its profuse gratitude and appreciation.
